There are many uses for essential oils to protect and support your health and wellness. And, of course there are many ways to use them. Here are the basic five ways to use essential oils. We will dive into these four ways in more detail over the next few weeks.

 Aromatherapy

Smells are triggers to memories from the past and can bring feelings of comfort, and calmness.  For instance, the smell of pine may bring memories of a pleasant walk in the woods.  Aromatherapy is as easy as just inhaling the aroma directly from the bottle. You can also diffuse the essential oil of choice through the use of a diffuser, jewelry, cotton balls, paper, clothing, wood, even your hair.  Pure therapeutic essential oils can be very supportive of the emotions, nervous system and the brain.

Diffuser Jewelry

Here are some examples of jewelry designed to absorb or store a couple of drops of essential oils.  The three necklaces on the sides are clay based that absorb the oil so that you can benefit from the aromatic qualities where ever you go.  The blue pitcher is a type that holds a drop or two in the bottom so it can slowly evaporate surrounding you in its aroma.  Lastly is the braclet that is made from lava beads.  lava beads are a great medium for absorbing essential oils. Diffuser jewelry can also be made from 100% cotton felt.  What an awesome way to carry the benefits of aroma therapy with you all day long.

Those who know me well can probably guess as to which piece is my favorite.
