12 Uses for Lavender

Lavender – (Lavandula angustifolia) is the most versatile of all essential oils, giving it the nick name “The Multi-Tool".  When diffused it adds a clean, fresh scent to any room and is loved for its calming, soothing fragrance which is supportive to the nervous system.  It also provides support to the skin when used topically or when added to body care products, ointments, or baths.  

12 Uses for Lavender

Take a Lavender Bath.  Put 4-5 drops of Lavender ¼ cup Epsom Salts then add it tour bath water for a spa like experience.
Rest for Your Feet.  After a long day on your feet, rub a drop of Lavender and Lemongrass on your legs and feet.
Love my Skin.  Mix 3 parts fractionated coconut oil and one part Lavender in a roll-on bottle for minor skin irritations.  
Time for Bed?  A drop or two on the bottom of your feet is a great addition to your bedtime routine.
Mattress Refresher.  Add 10 drops of Lavender to 1 cup baking soda and sprinkle all over your mattress.  Let sit for an hour and vacuum.  Other good oils to try:  Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Clove, or Rosemary or a mixture of any one of the above with the Lavender.  Try a different one with each bedding change until you find your favorite.
Too Hot to Touch!!  Apply Lavender to affected area to support the skin and reduce any temporary redness.
Oatmeal Anyone?  Add 5- 8 drops Lavender to a half pint of oatmeal and seal.  Add water when ready to use and you have a natural scrub.  A little goes a long way!
Baby Close Your Eyes.  Make a Lavender spray by adding 8-16 drops Lavender to ½ teaspoon Epsom Salts and adding to 8oz filtered water.  Shake before use and spray on pillows before bed.  Great for children of all ages.  ðŸ˜Š
